Listen To & Engage With the 'Stars'
Here is a quick snapshot of our key speakers & sessions, all of which will be presented in a 'Town Hall'-style format:
  • Senators Tom Carper (confirmed) and Tammy Baldwin (invited) will reveal what's next in Postal Reform.
  • Staffers from key House representatives will review the latest developments in the effort to rewrite the Quill v. North Dakota-based remote sales tax collection law.
  • Postmaster General Pat Donahoe and Postal Regulatory Commission Chairman Ruth Goldway will (separately) explain how catalog mailers fit into the USPS's short- and long-term plans.
  • Other speakers and panels will examine efforts to establish catalog postal incentives, joint industry/USPS work to improve flats costing, and how tax reform provisions could dramatically change the tax deductibility of catalogs and all advertising expenses.
The event will begin promptly with a working luncheon at noon on April 29th; sessions will run through 5:15 pm that day followed by our popular annual reception that evening. The April 30th events begin with a working breakfast at 8:00 am and run through 4:30 pm that day.

Then the May 1st Policy Caucus will start with a 7:30 am working breakfast, meetings on Capitol Hill beginning at 9:00 am and running through 5:00 pm. Senator Carper is scheduled to address the Caucus group from 2:15-3:15 pm that afternoon, and for those who can stay on after, we'll schedule more meetings on The Hill.

Engage a Colleague, Competitor, Supplier...
As you will hear in Washington, a whole lot is going on that will impact catalogs. We need to help the industry step up to make sure our interests are protected. The way to accomplish this is to get many more catalog companies involved in working with Congress, the USPS and even the PRC. Call one or more colleagues, competitors, suppliers or others in the industry today and ask them to join you at what will be a very valuable few days in the nation’s capitol shaping the future of catalog marketing! Or email us with who you have in mind and we'll be happy to make it happen on your behalf!
