ACMA National Catalog Forum Close-Up: What Does a Postal Governor Do?

ACMA is getting closer to releasing a complete agenda for the 6th Annual National Catalog Forum for May 8-9, 2013, in Washington, DC. In the meantime, we're continuing our periodic close-ups on major sessions that have been set.

One session will feature Louis Guiliano, who's a member of the USPS Board of Governors - and was the former chairman. The USPS Board is comparable to a board of directors of a private corporation. It includes nine governors who are appointed by the president with the advice and consent of the Senate. Although it's the entity that hires the Postmaster General, the Board also approves all major rate-changing decisions.

Other confirmed speakers include Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe; USPS VP, Product Information Jim Cochrane; top staffers from Sen. Tom Carper and Rep. Darrell Issa; Postal Regulatory Commissioner Nanci Langley; and more t/b/a. Make sure you are a part of the all-star gathering of catalog executives comparing lessons learned, tips and lobbying experiences in Washington.
