Industry Alert: Our Industry Is Out-Gunned & Under-Manned It's Not Too Late to Take Action, But Time is Growing Short Dear Catalog Industry Executive: Unless something happens soon, I predict the following:
Click here if you need more details on these. If we are to have any shot at mitigating the damage of these predictions, we have to get from the two-thirds of one percent participation to at least 3% of the industry supporting out work. You are part of the 3%. That’s all we have direct email contacts with. Here are your three choices:
We will make it very easy for you to participate. We help you with what to say and how to approach it. Did you know that 86% of the funds you contribute go directly to advocacy? Want to make it 100%? Is your company averse to association memberships? No problem. Simply contribute to our Action Funds. At virtually every meeting I attend in Washington these days, it is clear the catalog industry’s one and only advocate, ACMA, is out-manned and under-gunned. Without more resources to be able to put up a better fight, this industry will likely face another 2007 exigent postage increase plus a new sales taxing system so costly and chaotic that you just might want to close up shop altogether. So please take action now. We are happy to share more details; call (914-669-8391) or email my colleague Paul Miller (pmiller@catalogmailers.org) for specifics. To ACMA members in good standing, thank you for all you do. Please pass this on to the rest of this industry. Sincerely, Hamilton Davison President & Executive Director American Catalog Mailers Association www.catalogmailers.org hdavison@catalogmailers.org
