Continuum is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Production Artist to join our Hingham, MA team supporting print and web projects. We are an exciting and fast-growing print management firm that offers full-service print production solutions to our clients. Key job responsibilities:
 Work on-site at the assigned customer (Coldwater Creek Direct) to deliver a range of printed materials, with primary focus on catalog pages.
 Work with the client and team members to support the creative department and the catalog page design process.
 Execute all mechanical page production from creative and merchandising layouts to produce print-ready files.
 Manage digital assets.
 Repurpose catalog pages and images for web use.
 Execute all projects to ensure that the end result exceeds the client’s expectations.
Day-to-day tasks & activities:
 Build catalog pages to templates, input copy, place images, and cut silos. Prepare pages for all review cycles.
 Accurately and efficiently execute changes resulting from all reviews.
 Build repaginated files for re-mail drops.
 Receive digital images, archive images, create contact sheets, and maintain digital asset management system.
 Conduct pre-flight and technical integrity checks on all files including final review of file specifications prior to release and ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
 Collect print-ready pages, images, and other assets for release to prepress supplier. Traffic pages and images to and from prepress supplier.
 Collect final pages for press, preparing final high resolution print-ready pdf pages.
 Prepare page and image files for web use. Crop, name and resize images.
 QC final pages for production integrity.
 Build ads and other collateral print projects to templates, execute changes, and prepare final print files.
 Work within a print production/creative services team while interfacing with our client’s creative and merchandising departments to understand production requirements.

Qualifications:

 Have strong problem solving abilities.
 Have a strong ability to interact efficiently with creative and merchandising teams and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
 Have a good working knowledge of four color pre-press and printing processes.
 Are fluent in Mac OSX and Adobe Creative Cloud
 Are comfortable with MS Office products and have database experience.
 Have 5+ years’ experience preferably in a catalog or publishing environment.
