Continuum is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Creative Services Production Director to join our Hingham, MA team. Key job responsibilities:
• Work on-site at the assigned customer (Coldwater Creek Direct) managing the team responsible for delivering Creative Services support to this re-launched iconic direct marketing retailer, including a range of printed materials (catalogs and direct mail) and the website, in a constantly evolving, high energy, extremely fast paced environment.
• Interface with client’s senior leadership team to address daily changes and challenges, new or revised deliverables, and new or revised responsibilities.
• Manage teams responsible for pre-media (both print and web support, including color quality), photography and print trafficking, and web trafficking.
• Ongoing evaluation and improvement of existing processes and workflows as necessary. Strategic development of new workflows and processes, relating to pre-media, print, and web support. Document all new and existing processes.
• Ongoing collaboration with the client and the Continuum team to define key metrics. Develop and implement applicable processes to deliver these metrics.
• Execute all projects to ensure that the end result exceeds the client’s expectations.
Day-to-day tasks & activities:
• Lead Continuum’s production/creative services team while interfacing with our client’s creative, merchandising, print marketing, and web marketing teams to understand production requirements. Analyze specifications to ensure that all job requirements, quality expectations, and delivery dates are clearly identified and achieved.
• Work with the client and team members to create, coordinate, and maintain production schedules.
• Work with the client to create print specifications for collateral projects.
• Manage all aspects of print production with suppliers. Provide specific instructions for all projects. Work with suppliers on delivery timetables and maintain a current status of assigned projects at all times.
• Create and maintain schedules for all projects from inception thru in-home, including execution of workflow changes as applicable.
• Assist in updating forecasts and budgets to reflect actual specifications and costs incurred on a monthly or more frequent basis.


Qualifications:

• Excel at workflow improvement for existing processes and development of processes where there are none.
• Have an excellent understanding of pre-media technology and workflow, especially in a catalog print and web environment.
• Have a solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and proficiency with Mac OS and PC and MS Excel.
• Are well versed in offset and gravure print processes.
• Have a high aptitude for math, cost reporting and data analysis.
• Have exceptional attention to detail and high standards of quality along with strong problem solving abilities.
• Have a strong project management background.
• Have a strong ability to interact creatively and efficiently with creative, marketing (web and print) and merchandising departments and leadership teams, as well as suppliers, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of digital asset management tools and related workflows.
• Have 7+ years of experience with a catalog production/creative services organization.
