We are seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to help us grow to the next stage of our evolving business. The position is located in idyllic Southwestern Vermont, however there is some potential to work remotely and commute to Vermont occasionally.

The position entails:

• Leading a team of diverse and highly skilled sales and marketing professionals
• Developing and implementing industry and market analysis and strategy
• Setting and attaining quantitative and qualitative objectives across the entire sales and marketing team
• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, prospects, industry influencers and key strategic partners
• Developing and implementing an annual operational sales and marketing plan
• Implementation and management of processes to measure and improve profitability and ROI in marketing and sales activities
• Forecasting, tracking, and analysis of sales and marketing performance
• Identification, planning and monitoring of product strategies
• Planning, implementation and management of promotional and advertising strategies and plans, lead generation efforts and prospecting activities
• Development, implementation and management of pricing strategies
• Development, implementation and management of a comprehensive corporate branding strategy
• Annual planning and management of the corporate sales and marketing budget
• Establishing best practices, policies and procedures for the sales and marketing functions of the organization

Qualifications:
• Absolutely trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity
• Hands-on team leadership and management experience
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Proven experience with marketing strategy development and implementation
• Demonstrated ability to implement and articulate a data driven decision making process
• Strong quantitative and analysis skills, and a working understanding of statistical analytics techniques
• Experience with sales or sales support in web services, web APIs, cloud computing, SaaS, and/or SOA
• Negotiation & diplomacy skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• At least 3 years of experience managing a marketing and/or sales team in a B2B environment, preferably in an enterprise data services industry
• A four-year undergraduate degree in Business Management, Marketing or equivalent, and preferably an MBA or a Master’s degree

• Experience in sales and/or marketing management, having completed or working towards a business degree and a demonstrated commitment to a sales and marketing management career
• Experience in a sales and marketing management role with an SMO looking to grow his or her responsibilities and make an impact with a small growing company
• Experience in a senior management role looking for a new and unique challenge growing with a small company
