As Director, responsibilities center on the development and implementation of a comprehensive and aligned strategic marketing plan that includes analyzing, reviewing, recommending & building strategic and tactical changes to the marketing plan, both in Print and Internet Properties. The focus will be on business profitability through increasing customer base & visitors/traffic, improving conversion rates, capturing larger average order sizes and managing margin performance. In addition, the Director of Marketing is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the business that drive sales and profitability including: business planning, content strategy & development, promotional campaigns and other print and online marketing campaigns, website design, result metrics, web analytics and web technologies.

Essential Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and forecasts to achieve brand and corporate objectives
• Execute integrated and measurable online/offline marketing and result-driven initiatives
• Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets
• Analysis & recommendation of the online/offline Customer Experience including Design & Aesthetics, Content, Navigation, Information Architecture, Branding/Marketing, Performance, Functionality
• Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of content across print, websites and online marketing campaigns to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all content publishing
• Plans and implements marketing objectives, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets
• Accountability for measurement and reporting of campaign results
• Development of a strategic decision making, prioritization and governance process
• Manage and motivate a cohesive team of marketing professionals
• Maintain knowledge of marketing knowledge, trends and best practices
• Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with functional partners supporting the eCommerce strategy
• Ownership and management of Internet marketing including social media integration
• Ownership and management of SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies
• Ownership and management of Retention Program via email marketing
• Provide SEO/SEM/PPC and Internet Marketing through leadership, innovation and process improvement initiatives
• Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to cross functional partners, team members and executive leadership
• Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects
• Identification of new areas of opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Core Competencies & Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred with a minimum of eight years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• 4 year degree in Marketing or related field
• Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
• Demonstrated understanding
• Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.
• Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
• Comprehensive understanding of Marketing and Internet Marketing best practices that result in customer acquisition, retention and growth
• Ability to specify technical changes to technical/development teams
• An in depth understanding of search engines, search engine optimization and factors that influence high rankings in Google
• Experience with web analytics tools (Google, Urchin, Webtrends, Ominiture)
• Knowledge of Google Adwords , Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN AdCenter
• Proved familiarity with forecasting and accounting principles
• Ability to compile and analyze data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction
• Ability to perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis to identify growth/optimization opportunities
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate orally or in written form with co-management, internal and external customers.
