Job Summary:

The primary function of the Senior Forecasting Analyst is to build, execute and communicate fiscal Direct demand plans and forecasts through to operating sales on daily, weekly, monthly and annual fiscal level consistent with supporting Company initiatives and financial goals.

Essential Functions:

• The majority of time will be spent on building accurate and timely forecast reports and summaries along with communicating these Direct (phone and web) forecasts/reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to support inventory planning levels, contact and distribution center staffing and financial team executive reporting.
• The forecasting function is executed for both channels (phone and web) inclusive of demand, units per order, average order value, fill rates, back orders, shipments and return rates to a net operating sales detail level.
• This position incorporates numerous data points into plans and forecasts inclusive of catalog circulation customer and prospecting segment mix, customer file growth, global marketing calendar promotions, email calendar cadence, catalog page counts, style counts, density, ecommerce program investments, ecommerce initiatives and overall financial assumptions/goals.
• This team member will be responsible for holding weekly meetings with Inventory Planning, Company Planning, E-Commerce Marketing and Merchandising teams regarding trends in the latest week and future risks/opportunities in the Direct business.
• This function will need to support and collaborate with Print production and Finance for assisting in building an accurate demand curve spread for catalog cost amortization based on percent complete demand curves.
• This position works closely with Finance, Inventory Planning, Company Planning, Contact and Distribution Center, E-Commerce Marketing and Brand Marketing Departments

Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:

• Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word
• Intermediate skills including MS Access
• Experience with Direct Marketing Financials and profit and loss calculations a plus

Education and Experience:

• 4 year degree with a BS in Finance, Mathematics or Statistics
• 5+ years experience in Finance and/or a Forecasting role within Direct Marketing or Retail Industry
