About the job:

Creative Services Manager serves as a logistical leader and liaison between the Creative Department and internal clients. They are responsible for the daily oversight and management of projects moving through the in-house Creative Department. This position reports directly to the Director of Creative Services and is in charge of managing the account executive/project management team. The team tracks all active in-house jobs providing an accurate and constant gauge of the Creative Department’s capacity and efficiency. Ultimately, this role contributes to the company’s success by ensuring the maximum efficiency and productivity of the Creative Department.

Essential Functions:

• Manage project workflow process to ensure all creative deliverables are completed efficiently and on-time with the most up-to-date information.
• Obtain client needs for assignments and facilitate concise communication of the requirements to the creative team.
• Work closely with creative to best allocate time, staff and resources for incoming projects.
• Manage projects for multiple business segments as they flow through the creative department from initial request to final delivery.
• Ownership of weekly status meeting with the creative and copy teams to review the status of current projects and weekly priorities.
• Monitor any cross channel changes that may effect creative deliverables.
• Propose and implement process improvements - constantly seek out efficiencies and improvements in day-to-day workflow.
• Interact with outside vendors, including printers and label manufacturers, on multiple projects.
• Facilitate the approval and sign off of creative deliverables.
• Assist with pricing comparisons and budget parameters for new creative initiatives.
• Regularly oversee other employees as a project manager.

Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong project management, time management and resource management skills with experience in managing creative projects.
• Should have a strong understanding of process and the ability to identify potential improvements and implement them.
• Must have excellent organization skills and the ability to adapt quickly to projects with short turn around times.
• Must have a knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with electronic project management software is a strong plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Communications, Business or Marketing.
• 8+ years of project management experience in an in-house creative or agency setting.
• Experience managing multiple direct reports
• Experience with retail projects is preferred.
