Summary

The Jr. Planner supports the Inventory Supervisor or Manager and is responsible for purchasing and managing inventory for multiple business channels to meet strategic goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Determine the best way to manage inventory utilizing planning software and departmental planning parameters, place orders, and evaluate inventory position.
• Maintain PO and inventory information and reports to ensure timely delivery of merchandise while meeting initial fill rate and turn goals.
• Develop strong partnerships with vendors to meet all business needs.
• Maintain various aspects of the Purchase Order (PO) process
• Proofread for accuracy and data integrity all POs
• Partner with the product team on product issues
• Maintain various systems and files surrounding faxing programs.
• Maintain various reports on backorder status, freight and shipment status.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience

• Previous inventory management, purchasing, accounting or related experience preferred
• A high school education is required.
