The Vermont Country Store is a 67 year-old company looking for a Product Development Manager that will successfully lead assigned departments and direct reports in developing new unique, hard-to-find, practical, problem solving products while profitably managing the business across multiple channels. The Manager will work with cross-functional partners to ensure the story of the products come out in all touchpoints. • Demonstrated success in developing new unique products seasonally?

Are you ready to…
• Direct and manage the sales, margin, return rates and variable contribution to exceed budget guidelines and expectations?
• Review and analyze success of each season across all channels to determine opportunities and challenges moving forward?
• Review and analyze competitors and market to determine opportunities and challenges to gain market share?
• Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Inventory Management and Creative teams to ensure appropriate product assortment, selection and presentation across all channels and touchpoints?

Qualifications:
Experience, Skills, Abilities, & Attributes
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or at least 7-9 years experience in a Catalog and/or Retail environment and experience managing a staff of 2+ members
• Excellent communication skills including confidence in public speaking and presentations
• Enthusiasm for VCS product, customer and values
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to prioritize work in a multi-discipline environment
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
• Ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data and establish facts and draw valid conclusions
