Key Focus
LEGO Direct To Consumer is a multi-channel, international retail business and ‘The World’s Biggest LEGO Shop’; selling LEGO directly to consumers via shop.LEGO.com, LEGO catalogs and branded retail LEGO Stores. The LEGO Direct to Consumer team work to ‘inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow by creating shopper access and delivering inspirational retail experiences built on LEGO Brand values.’
Through solid, detailed and enthusiastic support, the Marketing Coordinator will have a direct impact on the end consumer and the business as a whole. Working with a dynamic team in the Enfield office, this position will report to the Brand Retail Senior Marketing Manager, North America, and have responsibility for assisting in coordinating events, promotions and experiences both physical and virtual, across over 68 Stores in the US and Canada. With as many as 150 Stores to come globally by 2015, this position carries amazing opportunities for growth and development.
Content Coordination (50%)
• Execute weekly content updates to Store Website, ensuring all information, events, images and Store hours are current and accurate. Gather information and work directly with Stores to continually improve website content and consumer relevance.
•Communicate calendar and event information to Malls, partners and key stakeholders on a monthly basis through a standardized LBR Marketing Update. Provide email content to SAH and VIP teams on a monthly basis and respond to ad hoc requests.
•Act as main point of contact for all individual North American LEGO Stores, proactively communicating key needs to LBR Marketing team to ensure timely response and immediate follow up. Develop individual knowledgebase of Store Marketing standards and guidelines to independently handle requests as appropriate.
•Collect and catalogue physical and electronic samples of Store marketing and promotional materials, noting quantity, production date, cost, original WOR and any project notes.
•Collect and provide all LBR Marketing team contributions for Weekly Store Communication. Attend weekly Store Operations meetings and weekly LBR Marketing team meetings, actively taking notes and distributing follow up actions for the team.
•Coordinate and share content amongst Global Brand Retail team as needed to ensure efficiency and maximize resources.
Event & Promotion Support (30%)
•Assist in development of event packages by researching, recommending and pricing supplies, submitting and managing Work Orders, placing supply orders and tracking costs. Support Manager on ad hoc requests as needed.
•Participate in Event Coordination calls with Manager, Mall and Store teams, ensuring all mall delivery and shipping requirements are met, cataloging any special conditions and coordinating rental of supplies as needed. Perform on-site audits of event set ups as needed.
•Review and compile all event feedback forms and photographs, reporting to team on results and actively making suggestions for improvements. Follow up with Stores to ensure timely submission of all required event feedback.
•Participate in cross-functional, multichannel promotions and ad hoc projects as needed.
Vendor & Expense Management (20%)
•Set up new vendors, manage purchase orders and billing. Review and reclass team expenses as needed. Coordinate intercompany billing and receiving as needed.
•Understand and ensure adherence to all intercompany and international billing principles.
Inventory & Supply Management (10%)
•Oversee maintenance of all event packages, ensuring pallets are packed neatly, supplies are replenished and any repairs made.
•Ensure replenishment of all in-store and event materials and supplies as needed and within budget. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage existing inventory to ensure efficient use of supplies and budget. Track costs and update budget for supplies and shipments.
•Manage internal and external shipping vendor relationships to ensure all deliveries are made within defined timeline, maximizing savings and efficiency. Understand and account for all customs, international shipping options, timetables and costs for global Store support as needed.
Qualifications:
•Excellent project and time management skills; ability to effectively multi-task in deadline-oriented position.
•Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal, written, analytical and organizational skills
•Strong event and team coordination abilities
•Innovative and looking to stay a step ahead, while executing the essentials for a successful event.
•Strategic thinker with the ability to develop well articulated marketing and event strategies in support of the greater marketing plan and business plan.
•Able to think holistically, beyond the task, and exercise right brain creative skills, along with left brain analytics.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field.
•1 – 2 years Marketing or Business Administration experience.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate across all levels and functions.
•Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.
•Acute attention to detail, with exceptional organization and problem-solving skills.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Adobe Suite including Acrobat,
Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus.
•Passport, driver’s license and ability to travel 20-25% including nights and weekends as needed.
•Understanding and affinity for LEGO Brand Values.
•Enthusiasm, energy and a deep desire to create fun, engaging and impactful experiences for children and families.
