We are seeking a Vice President – Corporate Controller to join our Finance Department and lead the day-to-day operations of the department while ensuring that all financial activities are in line with Company goals and objectives, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and complying with government regulations and covenant obligations. The Controller is responsible for the development, analysis and interpretation of accounting information to appraise profitability, capital expenditures and performance against budget. In this role, the VP - Corporate Controller will also assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Company's future.

Company Interfaces:
• Reports to the CFO, located in Sunderland, VT
• Will oversee the Finance Department located in Sunderland, Vermont and Roanoke, Virginia
• Work with all key channel managers and department heads
• Work with international (UK) business operations

Key Performance Measurements:
• Accurate and timely financial reports
• Monitor and manage business to maintain strong Balance Sheet
• Monitor overall operating expenses and collaborate with VP peers to achieve budget

General Responsibilities:
• Oversee the development and implementation of Company-wide accounting practices and controls consistent with Company policies and procedures and GAAP
• Oversee the activities of the Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets
• Oversee the Company's external audits, reports progress to CFO and implements corrections and improvements as required
• Interface with functional organization and business units as a source of advice and counsel in business issues, provide support to achieve goals and objectives, and assist in the improvement of business processes
• Analyzes business trends, identifies and recommends cost savings and profit enhancement opportunities
• Assists in the development of and manages annual consolidated annual budgets and forecasts for the organization - both operating and capital budgets, performs variance analyses, presents findings, monitors and evaluates operations' financial effectiveness
• Lead Company in budgeting, tracking and approving capital expenses
• Oversee and develop the internal financial reporting for the Company including presentations to Senior Management and Board of Directors as well as materials used externally with investors, banks, etc
• Plan, organize and direct the activities of General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Budget, Cash Management or Payroll
• Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes
• Track, forecast and manage cash flow. Including advising company on vendor terms and payment (i.e. efficient use of LC’s, DP’s etc.)
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
• International – UK; ensure alignment with U.S. financial reporting and budgeting methodologies and timelines
• Relationship lead with various third parties, including insurance, credit card processing, legal

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 8-10 years of experience
• CPA or public accounting experience preferable
• Proficient in use of accounting systems, implementation of corporate financial practices, analysis of financial and operating information to facilitate decision making and recommending actions to improve performance
• Multi-Channel Business experience preferred
• Strong Management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated aptitude for people and project management
• Possesses good judgment. The individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions
