Role Summary:
The Dir, Sales position is a non-managing position responsible for managing and developing new relationships with Epsilon Targeting clients. Will not have direct reports. Will manage their own book of business. Responsibilities include revenue generation, retention, growth and value in existing accounts. Must be able to perform against quota and excel in a highly competitive market. This role is expected to be a thought leader and contributor to Epsilon's sales strategy and responsibilities include account strategy, account penetration, new business development, relationship development and achievement of revenue goals. The ultimate goal is to expand Epsilon partnerships with clients by understanding all areas of their business.
Key Accountabilities:
* Revenue generation to achieve assigned revenue goals
* New business development selling all Epsilon Targeting products
* Liaison between product and client for new product introductions
* Contributor in providing sales and market knowledge in new product development
* Accurate and timely forecasting system
* Provides leadership in program execution process
* Active participant in sales training; continuous learning of our products and services
* Manages day-to-day dialogue with client contacts.
* Travels as appropriate to client size (maybe up to 50%).
* Demonstrates solutions-oriented consultative sales approach to growing their book of business
* Monitors competitive information at the account level and maintains market intelligence of competitors¿ products and pricing
* Initiates pricing incentive recommendations internally and externally to meet annual Epsilon objectives
* Outlines strategic opportunities for the client across all product lines and channels
* Responsible for 100% product penetration within accounts
* Ensures minimum achievement of 100% of quota
* Leads sales presentations and provides consulting services on key accounts
* Primary contact within client company at all organizational levels
* Reviews and prioritizes deliverables from each meeting
* Conducts face-to-face and phone client meetings on an on-going basis as needed
* Involves Epsilon executives for consultative client advice
* Serves as mentor and/or advisor to other Sales associates within the Epsilon Sales team
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree or university equivalent in Marketing, Sales or Business with 6 - 8 years of client facing sales role and/or direct marketing in a multi-channel environment
* Specialty in marketing preferred. A broad experience in this industry
* Strong revenue generating background (hunter,selling skills)
* Industry knowledge and 5+ years of sales experience and Epsilon experience
* Experience in applying analytic solutions to maximize return
* Strong communication skills including collaborating, negotiating, persuading, public speaking, and listening
* Must possess excellent solution selling, communication and client management skills
* Ability to identify and escalate new business opportunities with existing clients
* Must be able to negotiate and close deals
* Technical proficiency in applying Epsilon solutions
Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Interfaces / Metrics (if applicable):
* Interfaces with:
* Client Services to develop client presentations and proposals and to ensure client deliverables
* Corporate Marketing to develop strong lead generation initiatives and consistency in messaging
* Product to provide input into new product development and account/sector strategy
* Consumer Acquisition to gain understanding of client strategy, ensure all privacy standards are met and that questions are developed to deliver the best results
* Consumer Insights to develop the right analytics and research to meet client requirements and expectations
* IT to ensure that client requests can be delivered through IT capabilities
Quota carrying: $1.5-5 million
