Position Summary: The Senior Ecommerce PMBA will manage assigned internet technology projects, across the Orchard suite of brands. The position is responsible for understanding the internet marketing business process across the enterprise and plays a significant role in developing and maintaining strong internal customer relationships as a result. This highly visible role will support and tactically execute the Ecommerce strategy and objectives. The PMBA is member of a larger IT/Ecommerce team, whose mission is to implement and maintain site features and functionality to create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Manage web development project teams through the creation of detailed and accurate project descriptions, estimates, functional and technical specifications, schedules, timelines and written status reports throughout the web development process.
Work with the eCommerce Director to manage resources for projects, including utilization of team resources, forecasting and budget management.
Complete detailed impact and cost / benefit analyses of proposed enhancements to existing systems and proposals of new systems.
Develop business, integration, operational, and technical requirements to include in test plans.
Develop, document, and maintain requirement specifications (functional, performance and capacity) for new and existing business systems following standard processes and procedure.
Define and manage scope, build project plans including work breakdown structure, task identification, resource allocation, dependency, and critical path.
Proactively identify changes, issues and status to all impacted parties and actively work to resolve them.
Identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
Proactively manage project scope and change control processes.
Ensure appropriate testing is defined and validated for acceptance, with the users prior to rollout.
Business Analysis:
Facilitate the process of generating, documenting and maintaining As-Is and To-Be business workflows following standard processes, procedures and notations.
Identify business process gaps and required changes to address gaps.
Proactively maintain new feature requests, enhancements, and bug/issue lists across multiple site/platforms.
Identify and coordinate data definitions throughout the enterprise to ensure consistency and depth of understanding.
Ensure high quality business and data integration across other user areas and systems
Qualifications:
Desired Skills & Experience
This position requires 7 10 years of project management experience, including:
BS or BA Required or equivalent years of relevant experience
Broad understanding of Ecommerce technology tools, providers and trends
In-depth knowledge and experience managing enterprise or Internet projects
Technical project management, especially in a multi-project environment
Proven experience managing outsourced systems and vendor relationships
Systems integration including Ecommerce, Order Management, and DropShip & Inventory Systems
Solid understanding of internet marketing activities within a direct marketing organization: Website design and functionality enhancements, site analytics, privacy and security, PCI compliance, e-mail campaigns & integration, paid search, affiliate marketing, SEO, multi-channel marketing coordination, contract negotiation and tight vendor management, and website usability
Ability to travel when required
Proven vendor contract negotiation skills
Proficiency with project management tools; including MS Project and Visio
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Ecommerce implementations for international markets
Hands-on technical skills (ex SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript)
iSeries experience
Micros Retail / Commercialware experience
Strong organization and motivational skills
A self-starter attitude who is results-driven
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; adept at communicating to all levels of the organization
