SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Web Developer works closely with the Senior Web Developer to help with design, development, and administration of the Road Scholar website, and is instrumental to executing the organization’s website feature roadmap. Working as part of the web team, this individual will modify Road Scholar’s existing Episerver website on a regular basis. The ideal individual will have experience as a full stack web developer and experience supporting a development team in the pursuit of new website functionality. Familiarity with Agile Project Management principles and practices, including sprint planning, daily standups, and Jira administration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
● Codes, tests, debugs, documents and installs new functionality to address organizational needs while keeping customer experience top of mind.
● Participates in project briefs, design sessions, and code reviews.
● Consults with the Senior Web Developer in establishing web project scopes.
● Maintains effective working relationships with internal personnel and external agency partners.
● Maintains integrity of program logic and coding, and establishes required checks and balances with internal and external stakeholders.
● Assists with software development quality assurance.
● Monitors and responds to incident tracking requests.
● Meets bi-weekly release objectives.
● Assist in the management of development tickets and the Jira platform.


Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in a technical major with 1-2 years' experience preferred working in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET.MVC, Visual Studio and especially EPiServer CMS or Sitecore/Ektron.
● Experience with Web API’s, REST, JSON.
● Prior experience with implementation and development of CMS solutions for the web.
● Understand best practices with Responsive design and Browser support.
● Experience with Git or other version control software.
● Self-starter with ability to stay focused while performing heads-down work
● Must be authorized to work in the U.S. unrestricted — indefinitely
