Position Summary:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in support of our 70+ store retail channel. This is a key position within Finance and will have significant exposure to key executives within the organization. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, strong technical expertise, excited to take on and learn new things, and who would be excited to work for a purpose-driven brand. Prior retail experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Company Interfaces:
• Reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and closely supports the Vice President of Retail.
• This is a cross-functional position and in addition to working closely with the Finance and Retail teams, it will also interface with Marketing, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, and Operations (Retail and Warehouse).
• This position will be based at our Home Office located at the base of the Green Mountains just outside of Manchester, VT.
 
Responsibilities:
• Support retail team in identifying and quantifying key retail strategies and initiatives
• Develop long-term retail financial plan to be updated bi-annually
• Develop store-level sales, margin, and contribution budget tied back to retail strategies and initiatives
• Support retail team by developing and/or maintaining dashboards to track daily/weekly results
• Analyze monthly financial results, develop reforecasts, and provide executive-level updates
• Support retail team with ad hoc analysis, including assessing the value of retail beyond 4-wall contribution, margin drivers / promotion analysis, inventory issues, etc.
• Partner with real estate group in modeling new store opportunities
• Work closely with merchants to support key category selling initiatives
• Support omni-channel marketing team by coordinating sales and margin plans
• Manage Retail capital expenditure budget

Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of corporate finance or related experience
• Experience performing routine and ad hoc analyses using advanced Excel functionality
• Curiosity to go deep, but also the ability to see the big picture and communicate the story effectively
• Demonstrated ability and desire to take on new tasks or roles and get up to speed quickly
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and across all levels of management
• Unconditional integrity and commitment to financial accuracy
• Excellent team-building skills
 
Qualifications Desired:
• Prior retail experience strongly preferred, but not required
• CPA, CFA, or related designation
