We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist, to be located at our distribution center in Irvine, Pennsylvania.
OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Generalist works under general supervision and their primary responsibilities include support of the overall employment life cycle including: maintenance and accuracy of employee HR records, employee relations, performance management, benefit administration, compensation and time card assistance, non-exempt recruiting, and employee engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Respond to inquiries, identify issues, and guide the development of solutions to complex and diverse challenges concerning employees, management and others with tact and discretion
• Responsible for non-exempt staffing within the assigned client group and/or location
• Facilitate employee on-boarding and off-boarding, including regularly conducting new hire orientation and exit interviews
• Assist the local payroll process to insure employees’ hours worked are accurately represented in the payroll software
• Oversee the Leave of Absence administration including management of required documentation, ensuring Bluestem is compliant with state and federal leave laws, and responding to questions and concerns from employees and supervisors
• Assist with program implementations for HR programs such as benefits, compensation, training and development, as well as support other members of the human resources team in the research, development and rollout of cross-company initiatives
• Respond to and assist with Unemployment Compensation claims
• Help develop and maintain procedures and resources to ensure consistency across multiple locations, client groups, departments and the broader company
• Provide HR management information for scheduled and ad hoc reporting using a variety of systems and tools (i.e., ADP/eTime, Kronos, and Microsoft Excel)
• Oversee records retention for departmental records according to Federal and State Requirements and in compliance
• Assist in compiling payroll information and reporting of related costs and productivity metrics to finance and Contact Center leadership teams
• Assist with location specific administrative tasks including, but not limited to, issuing ID badges, assigning lockers, checking out equipment, ordering supplies, updating bulletin boards, and planning employee recognition events
• Assist management with all aspects of the performance management and disciplinary process and escalating concerns to the appropriate human resources or legal partners
• Perform additional duties and participate in other activities as assigned


Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other business related field or equivalent experience required
• 2 – 5 years of related Human Resources experience required
• Extensive software skills & competencies are required, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and payroll systems (ADP HRIS and eTime/Kronos preferred)
• Must be able to meet multiple individual and team deadlines in a fast paced, changing, dynamic work environment
• Must possess knowledge of Human Resources including but not limited to Employment Law, Job Analysis, Leave Administration, and Recruiting 
• Experience planning and organizing projects, events and other details required
• Works effectively in the face of ambiguity, possessing a resourceful and agile work style
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to proactively deal with all levels of internal and external management, as well as front-line employees  
• Must be able to work on sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality
