Details:
Manages all aspects of production related to a variety of printed deliverables with a focus on retail stores. Executes the printing, allocation and delivery of signage kits to the chain on a monthly basis as well as create and maintain schedules for deliverables related to new stores, relocations and closings. Works with offset, roto and digital printing. Works with internal partners and external suppliers to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that delivers high quality and competitive pricing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Creates yearly production schedules for all recurring print projects.
• Supplies internal teams with file release dates for individual print jobs.
• Attends internal planning meetings related to monthly signage kits.
• Creates purchase orders and track expenses for POP kits and compare back to budget with monthly reports.
• Schedules and attends in house color shows with pre-press vendor and Senior Graphic Designer.
• Reviews swatches against proofs with pre-press vendor to ensure correct color matching.
• Approves press approvals for monthly catalog and other printed pieces. Travel is required.
• Inputs all monthly signage kit components into vendor’s website, includes signage codes, stock, ink color and special finishing.
• Allocates each component by store via vendor’s website.
• Checks in and review monthly printed POP kit to ensure accurate color reproduction and delivery of all components. Alerts vendor of any discrepancies prior to in-store delivery date.
• Maintains store activity collateral schedule for accurate delivery of printed pieces. Update weekly based on changing store opening and closing dates supplied by the internal retail project team.
• Creates print orders for print vendor for each opening / closing.
• Works with vendors on multiple monthly recurring customer mailings and unique in-store promotional pieces
• Reviews vendor composed proofs and traffic through internal proofing department.
• Quotes & sample projects as requested by the internal Marketing & Creative teams.
• Assists Director of Creative Services with yearly retail POP budgeting.


Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong color skills for color critical reviews and approvals on press.
• Significant experience reviewing & marking up images for retouching.
• Must have knowledge of the proofing process and the ability to execute monthly color approvals on press.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to directly manage multiple outside vendors.
• Experience with budgeting, expense tracking and cost management.
• Ability to work with constantly changing deadlines and details.
• Must be collaborative and able to work with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Experience building & maintaining strong vendor relationships.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• 6+ years of print production experience in an in-house creative or agency setting
• Retail industry experience is preferred
