We are seeking an Image Retouching Manager for Blair, to be located at our office in Warren, PA. With a focus on value and style, Blair offers women’s and men’s apparel and accessories, as well as decor and furnishings for every room in the home.

What you’ll do:
· Mentors a team of image retouchers, emphasizing artistic appeal as well as technical proficiency. Focuses on advanced techniques for capturing and reproducing the nuances of fabrics, skin, and lighting. Keeps self and staff updated and educated on industry standards and best practices.
· Monitors adherence to color correction production schedules and oversees resource allocation including time and department supplies.
· Oversees the flow of images to and from overseas vendors.
· Manages catalog color quality, including final inspection of all images, review of critical catalog runs during print production, and review of printed catalogs. Reviews final PDF proofs for color quality and for other outstanding image issues, and communicates file issues to Production Artists.
· Occasionally visits third-party facilities to monitor catalog color reproduction. Develops and maintains production/color standards at Blair and at printer.


What you’ll need:
· Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University; or 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Advanced expertise in Mac operation systems, Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat/Distiller and ACS.
· A thorough understanding of the entire production process, staying abreast of changing technologies.
· Expert knowledge of all aspects of the production process, whether for space advertising, insert, direct mail piece or other promotional items: type formatting, design, reproduction, printing and binding.
· Fashion background preferred.
