The Director of Operations – Direct Sales will create and execute strategic and tactical plans that lead to efficient warehouse and customer contact center operations without sacrificing customer service levels. We need someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, a curious and creative mind, a love of streamlined processes, a high comfort level with complex computer systems and an encouraging leadership style to take our operations to the next level.

It all starts with our customers, without whom we would not exist. Your leadership of our Customer Contact Center, assisted by our Contact Center Manager, is critical to our success. We need a well-trained, energized and engaged CSR team to leave our customers with that “wow” feeling after contacting us. While catalog orders are still our bread and butter, we are making a shift to digital that requires new tools and systems to accelerate our growth into the future.

Your leadership of our Warehouse Operations Team, assisted by our Warehouse Manager, connects you to many facets of our business. Direct Sales is the largest component, where accuracy and efficiency improvements in pick/pack/ship can help fuel profitable growth. In addition to Direct Sales you will be responsible for inbound/outbound freight, intercompany transfers, light manufacturing / assembly and wholesale order fulfillment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Leadership / People Management – An energizing and inspiring leader to the largest employee group in the corporation. Servant leadership and high integrity are required.

• Warehouse Operations – Experience including but not limited to:
o Receiving
o Pick/Pack/Ship
o Light Manufacturing / Assembly
o Inventory Accuracy / Cycle Counting
o Wholesale Order Processing
o Inbound/Outbound Freight Negotiations

• Contact Center Operations – Experience including but not limited to:
o Excellent Customer Communications via phone, email, chat, etc.
o Order Taking, both in-house as well as outsourced via 3rd party call center
o Order Processing
o Customer Returns
o Customer Issue Resolution

• Performance Driven – Inefficiency keeps you up at night. Accountability is key to success in this role as is the ability to openly and honestly communicate operational issues and concerns.

• Data Driven Decision Making and Reporting – Strong use of data to accurately analyze performance and make decisions / recommendations. An ability to parse through data and select the most relevant items to report on and communicate to other business leaders.

• Leveraging our ERP System – Our ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics AX, is the backbone of all operations. We have been using it for under two years, it needs to be more fully understood, streamlined and leveraged.

• Collaboration with Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, Replenishment, IT and HR Teams – Work closely and extremely well with all of Lehman’s to improve our Direct operations.

• Partner Management – Required to successfully manage and grow relationships with vendors and 3rd party service providers.

• Budget Management – Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and actively managing all Operations accounts.

• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
Education
• BA/BS with significant coursework in Operations and/or Supply Chain and Logistics preferred

Experience
• Minimum experience required for this position is
o Traditional Direct-to-Consumer Operations preferred but not required
o 3-5 years of Operations management experience
Technical Skills
• Knowledge and understanding of, but not limited to, the following software:
o Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for processing data, creating forecasts, reports, etc.
o Microsoft Dynamics AX
Time Management – the ability to manage one’s own time, prioritize projects and work under deadlines
