Role
CustomInk is looking for an experienced Direct Marketing Project Manager to strategically manage the creative process from inception to completion for our traditional print marketing channels. You’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the business through the optimization of our catalogs, as well as other print vehicles which play a key role in our strategy to increase loyalty, strengthen the brand, and build community. The Direct Marketing Project Manager will provide strategic leadership and project management to all aspects of print creative. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the relationships with our agencies and providing creative direction throughout the process. You will partner with internal stakeholders in merchandising, brand, and creative during the creative development process and ensure continuous process improvement as the program evolves. Additionally, you will monitor results and make recommendations for creative test plans based on performance, key metrics and market research.

Responsibilities
• Direct the entire creative strategy and process for all print marketing channels.
• Bring the CustomInk brands to life through our catalog and other printed media.
• Align internal stakeholders on creative strategy and execution for direct marketing, including Marketing, Brand, Creative, Photography, Merchandising, and Production.
• Lead creative brief development and collaborate with marketing department to align direct response and brand requirements.
• Distill customer data into actionable insights for agency partners.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with CustomInk’s creative agency partners.
• Partner with print production to ensure deliverables are met on time and on budget.
• Manage creative schedules for catalog print collateral and other direct mail creatives.
• Collaborate with the Brand team to establish and implement brand guidelines for traditional print vehicles.
• Activate and execute creative strategy with internal & external stakeholders.
• Ensure creative spend is kept on budget and spent effectively throughout fiscal year.
• Maintain a critical eye on the full scope of our print creative program, including all external partners, to continue to improve the overall effectiveness of the creative strategy.
• Conduct market research as needed with external vendors on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in offline marketing/direct response marketing
• Must have account management agency experience, managing the creative process from inception to completion for offline direct marketing catalogs and/or mailers
• Proven ability to interact effectively with a large group of stakeholders and influence decision-making
• Highly organized, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Strategic, process-oriented thinker
• Superior project management skills
• Creative mindset and “an eye for design and copy”
• Ability to drive and manage multiple creative projects, paying attention to timelines and budget
• Experience working with designers and photographers
• In-depth knowledge of print process, from strategy through execution
• Demonstrated understanding of design and production tools for print collateral
