A Day in the Life
The Assistant Designer will work closely with the Home Design Team, Merchants and Product Developers in creating artwork and technical designs.
• Translate existing artwork and create artwork and technical designs for home product
• Prepare and present fashion and trend information for concept meetings
• Participate in seasonal strategy meetings for designated categories and work closely with merchants on product concepts and development
• Create line presentation visuals
• Prepare concept sheets for product development, including complete information regarding design inspiration

Must Haves
• Degree in Art or Design
• 2+ years in a design position
• Technical knowledge of textiles, surface design and product construction
• Strong technical CAD experience (Adobe, Pointcarre)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word)
• Domestic travel required

Nice to Haves

• Excellent time-management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Strong business acumen
