Details:
Leading 101 year old multi-channel retailer of consumer novelties, gifts, and collectibles looking for a junior software developer to help implement and to support the core Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 ERP system.

The Dynamics AX Developer will be a key member of the ERP Implementation Team. This individual will be responsible for the custom development arm of the Dynamics AX based solution. As we are at the beginning of the implementation phase, they will be in on the ground floor, providing crucial feedback to the team around individual tasks and associated timelines. The ability to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment is critical, as is the ability to work directly with the end users.

[~70%] Development
- Develop and implement AX based solutions (reports, lists, forms, data manipulation, etc.) that optimize benefit and asset lifetime cost in accordance with accepted practices.
- Take initiative in estimating, developing, testing and delivery of the desired software architecture.
- Establish test plans and develop customer-specific customizations in Dynamics AX.
- Oversee the technical set-up and execution of Dynamics AX project work and deliverables.

[~30%] Analysis, Design, and Support
- Demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify causes and anticipate implications.
- Daily monitoring and maintenance related to Dynamics AX, including SQL database, security, integrations, and overall operations.
- Maintain regular contact with users to anticipate, identify and respond to their needs and expectations.
- Provide accurate time and cost estimates to project management and functional staff.

- Ability to grow with the company and assume more responsibilities in subsequent implementation phases.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 2+ years of a combination of C++ and SQL coursework or experience
- Working knowledge of programming methodologies, structures, and concepts
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced business environment

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, a related field, or equivalent experience
