Role

CustomInk is looking for an experienced Direct Mail Program Manager to optimize and grow our catalog/direct mail channel and contribute to the already healthy growth of CustomInk’s new customer base. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design and execution of marketing campaigns for catalog/direct mail, and you’ll launch new marketing programs. You’ll apply your strategic, conceptual and analytical chops to connect our direct response approach to the broader marketing strategy and you’ll specifically leverage your experience bridging the gap between online and offline marketing.

As a member of the Marketing team you’ll work collaboratively to advance our broader marketing capabilities while you represent the direct response strategies. You’ll partner with other gurus across the company and you’ll manage the relationship and performance of our outside partners and vendors.

Responsibilities

Your passion, curiosity, and results-oriented nature will have plenty of opportunity as you contribute in the following ways:

• Collaborate with Merchandising and Creative to develop a direct response planning strategy that will deliver on objectives
• Lead list broker company and database vendor firm to ensure performance standards are met
• Develop and communicate campaign schedules with agency partners and internal stakeholders and ensure campaigns are in-market on schedule and as budgeted
• Interpret and implement creative testing matrix to optimize profitability/performance. Analyze results post-campaign and apply learnings to impact future campaigns
• Design and execute mail plans that optimize revenue/response
• Coordinate with outside agencies on list modeling/profiling opportunities that will optimize revenue and increase revenue potential for the Direct Mail program.
• Create data processing instructions for campaigns and guide vendor through details of merge and backend processing
• Assist in budget development and update/monitor forecasts and spend through the fiscal year
• Monitor key metrics and develop strategies to optimize performance
• Perform campaign and ad hoc analyses of results and leverage those learnings to deliver efficient and effective media campaigns
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on catalog creative process to ensure list strategy and creative development are in alignment.
• Coordinate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure developing database and reporting needs are met.
Success Measures
• Deliver on-budget spend and revenue goals for direct mail program
• Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking to support analytical capabilities
• Knowledge in creative solutions that will optimize the prioritization, planning and execution of the media campaigns
• Strong relationship with external vendors and internal marketing team

Qualifications:
• Minimum 4-7 years of hands-on direct mail planning, execution, and analysis experience in multi-channel (mainly offline) direct response marketing
• In-depth knowledge of Direct Response best marketing practices
• Academic excellence in Marketing, Communication or Business
• Ability to drive and manage multiple media plans in a high-paced evolving environment
• Demonstrated experience writing marketing and creative briefs and results/analysis summaries
• Strategic thinker with an ability to execute methodically
• Strong direct response marketing project management skills
• Analytical mindset and superior organizational skills
• Highly organized, with strong communication and relationship building skills
• Proficiency in Tableau and/or data visualization tools
• Power user of Excel (pivot tables, vlookup) and PowerPoint
