The Network Support Specialist will install and maintain network systems and equipment, monitor network performance, and utilize network testing equipment to correct problems. They will perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. The Network Support Specialist will analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, and server function. This position is responsible for maintaining, configuring and administering computer networks including hardware, software, applications and device configurations.

Responsibilities:
• Provide end-user support and problem resolution for all IT operations, including desktop computers, laptop computers, printers and other peripheral hardware, phones and software applications for all internal users
• Configure user accounts and computers
• Assist in planning and researching hardware/software/network related projects
• Assist in the administration of Windows Active directory domain, firewalls, backup solutions, end-user systems, email and hosted servers
• Performs hardware and software upgrades for networking devices
• Monitors and updates network monitoring tools to ensure all LAN and WAN equipment is healthy. (Monitors networks to determine upgrade requirements and general utilization issues).

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or related field
• 3 – 5 years of related experience
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well in team environments
• General knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems
• General knowledge of printer maintenance
• Solid troubleshooting skills, strong customer communication skills
